Common reasons for paediatric cardiology review
A paediatric cardiology consultation can help assess symptoms, examination findings or previously detected heart abnormalities. The need for Echo, ECG or other investigations depends on the clinical assessment.

When to seek urgent medical care
A routine clinic appointment is not appropriate for a child who is acutely unwell. Seek urgent medical care for severe breathing difficulty, persistent blue discoloration, collapse, severe chest pain, or other rapidly worsening symptoms.
